The “FRUIT & VEG: natural health!” project was created to promote European Union fruit and vegetable products that feature excellent organoleptic and nutritional qualities and that, thanks to traceability, guarantee transparency regarding their origin and the production methods used to grow them.


In terms of food safety, the choice of products is in line with both the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (regarding the need to eat a variety of fruit and vegetables in order to reduce the risks of diseases linked to a poor diet) and with the Italian Ministry of Health that recommends eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables of five different colours a day as each colour corresponds to specific substances and offers protection to cover all the body’s needs.


The project is promoted by AOP Gruppo VI.VA., an association that groups together 12 producer organisations, including Apofruit Italia.
